A metric survey of the site, consisting of general floor plans and external elevation drawings of the east and west elevations only, was carried out using a Reflectorless TST. Drawings were plotted in AutoCAD at a scale of 1:50 for enhancement on site. Elevations aimed to represent all major features in outline, while plans were annotated with major phases of development. All of the buildings were subjected to internal visual analysis with the exception of parts of Building C, precluded under health and safety considerations. Site notes were made upon annotated sketch plans.
A photographic record was made of each elevation, both internally and externally, consisting of 35mm monochrome silver-based film, suitable for archiving. Digital photography was also used in order to produce images for inclusion in the report.
