Results

The results of the archaeological fieldwork and documentary research are presented in two forms. A general summary of the findings is available, organised by historical period. These are prehistoric, roman, Anglo-Scandinavian, medieval, post-medieval and modern. Indexes of buildings and streets are also maintained, with links to further information.

In addition, the individual reports prepared for each phase of fieldwork will also be made available. The available reports are listed in the table below in order of when the investigation took place (most recent at top). See also the Investigations Map, which illustrates the location of all investigations over an aerial photograph of the area.
